Excellent Flat White, goes well with a drizzly day. Friendly staff who know their coffees. Asked for the coffee extra thick and it was no problem for them. Also had a Banana Breakfast Loaf - tasty and moist. A lot of space between the tables. Warm atmosphere.

Since Italian brothers Sergio and Bruno set up their first store in London in the seventies, Costa Coffee has come on in leaps and bounds securing itself as one of the better known purveyors of coffee on the high street. For me however it is not about the Barista of the Year awards, or the Michelin stars but being a shop for coffee - it is very much about what is in my cup.
The coffee here is good. I like it. It is real and fresh, leaving an earthy grainy taste in my mouth. They also seem to know the difference between a latte and a cappuccino which is rare these days. The coffee is great. The staff are friendly and, on Saturdays, pretty cute too. Could I get the same coffee somewhere else for cheaper? From the supermarket? Probably.
I suppose then that the extra few coins are not exclusively for what is in the cup. -
